To help disabled and terminally ill children in UK counties
Newlife provides essential equipment such as special beds, wheelchairs, communication aids, specialist seating, sensory and therapy equipment to disabled and terminally ill children across the UK.
We have an urgent appeal out to find over a quarter of a million pounds (£462,283.86) needed to help the 210 children waiting for this help.
Currently
These children, (click on your county to see details), have either had their applications approved or have submitted applications for equipment. Newlife needs to find the money to make grants to help as many of these children as possible.
Urgency
Some children need the equipment to stop their condition worsening, such as walking frames or postural seating aids. Others need equipment to improve their mobility, such as wheelchairs or hoists to allow them to take part in a fuller life. Many need equipment such as special beds to allow their pain to be relieved or to allow improved treatment or care. Togetherness
We need individuals, clubs, societies, organisations, workplaces, companies, gyms, pubs and groups of friends to rally to the needs of local disabled children. In the event that there are no children listed in the county, but you are interested in helping, please call us as our nurses are aware of more children who are currently in the process of applying for help who you may be able to help, that are not listed on the map.
