FOOTBALLING LEGEND STEVE BULL SUPPORTS NEWLIFE’S PREMIER CUP DAY
February 2009
Renowned footballer Steve Bull, has been lined up to attend Newlife Foundation’s Barclays Premier League Trophy day. This will take place at the Newlife Superstore on Friday 13, February. This comes as the latest addition to the event which is already lined up to feature the prestigious trophy.
The Wolverhampton Wanderers greatest goal scorer, affectionately known as Bully to his many fans, played with the team until he was forced to hang up his boots back in 1999. Following an MBE in the Millennium New Year’s honours list, Steve has since taken over as manger of Stafford Rangers and continues to support local charities in the area including Newlife: “I love getting involved with local charities, and Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children is such a worthwhile charity. I jumped at the chance to be part of this football event as it combines two of my greatest loves – I enjoy meeting fans and being able to offer football advice, and it’s great to do this while raising money for disabled children across the country.”
The unique opportunity runs from 3pm to 9pm when visitors can have a photograph taken with the Barclays Premier League Cup. Steve Bull will also be on hand to sign autographs, and provide advice for up and coming footballers, in the Newlife Superstore from 5.30pm until 7pm. Visitors will be able to walk away with a souvenir photograph next to the famous trophy for just £9.99.
In additional, Newlife will also be holding a grand raffle with a selection of top prizes donated courtesy of football teams Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, and Blackburn Rovers. Further prizes include a luxury spa day at Hoar Cross Hall with a chauffeur driven Aston Martin DB9, donated by Fred Pritchard, a family visit to Twycross Zoo, and much more.
To guarantee your place at this special event, a limited number of callers can pre-book photo time slots between 3pm to 4pm, for just £5.00 pre-payment. From 4pm- 9pm visits will be on a first come first serve basis and interest is expected to be high for this unique event.
