NEW GRADUATES FOR NEWLIFE

September 2009

New figures highlight that 2.5 million Brits are now unemployed, with one million of these under 25*, making the future look pretty bleak for university graduates. A great way to improve the chances of success is to gain invaluable work experience through an internship; and one of Cannock’s leading businesses, Newlife Foundation, is opening its doors to university leavers to boost graduate’s CVs.

The major growth recently announced by national disabled children’s charity, Newlife, means that they are bucking the recession trend and is able to offer graduates the rare chance to contribute to its success as well as earning a small income or expenses.

Mrs. Sheila Brown OBE, Chief Executive at Newlife says: “In this day and age when there are more graduates than there are jobs, real world experience really counts. That’s why we are offing internships to suitable local applicants that can boost their CV credentials and help the charity to help more disabled children. We have run this scheme before and had the pleasure of seeing interns go on to have successful careers within the BBC and careers in teaching. Future employers appreciate graduates that have worked in a national charity with a successful trading and recycling operation, and these references can make all the difference.”

Newlife is offering internships in Warehousing and Operational Management, Research Assistant in the Campaigns Department and opportunities in the PR Department, in addition to people who are good at presenting to assist with Sales and Fundraising and HR.

Further information on these positions can be requested from the Newlife Operations Department on 01543 468 888.
