TOP RAFFLE PRIZES ON OFFER FOR BUSINESSES
August 2010
The UK’s leading children’s disability charity is offering local businesses a hassle-free way to do their bit for disabled kids.
Thanks to an influx of donations from high street retailers Newlife Foundation for Disabled Children is offering cuddly toys as raffle prizes to local businesses.
The toys are an easy way for business people and shop owners to give something back to their community.
Newlife CEO Sheila Brown OBE said: “In this economic climate, it’s not easy for anyone, but it’s especially difficult for the hundreds of disabled children who come to us for help. We are trying to find ways to raise much-needed cash in order to get them the equipment they so desperately need. So if you run a business, work at a shop, or even take part in a club and want to do your bit for disabled children get in contact, we’ll provide the raffle prizes and you can send the donations through to us knowing that it’s going to a good cause.”
Newlife receives no government funding and so has to fundraise to help children who need essential equipment. There are currently 179 children who need £457,958.37 to buy essential equipment like wheelchairs and pain-relieving beds.
