Calling all runners and walkers

March 2010

The Newlife Foundation is calling on runners and walkers to help raise funds for disabled children across the country.
Athletes are needed to take part in the Great Midlands Fun Run which will be held in Sutton Park, Sutton Coldfield, on Sunday June 6.

Newlife provides essential equipment to hundreds of children, many of whom are turned down by statutory services and is currently facing a shortfall of £287,094.60.

The charity, which receives no government funding, is desperate to continue helping hundreds of children, and since starting its Equipment Grant Service five years ago it has given away more than £4.5 million of equipment helping 3,181 children.

No minimum sponsorship is needed to take part and runners hoping to complete the 8.5 mile course can sign up at www.greatmidlandsfunrun.com or for further details contact Tina Spooner at the Newlife Foundation on 01543 468888.
