Newlife Nurses
Newlife Nurses are the gateway to information, grants and care. They man a national Helpline which supports and informs families, whether they have just been told of their child’s disability or need help accessing local services. The Newlife Nurse Helpline is free, confidential and trusted.
Nothing is too small or too important to discuss with a trusted Newlife Nurse. In addition, Newlife Foundation offers grants for essential medical equipment. If the statutory health and social care services cannot help, Newlife Nurses can progress a grant for equipment direct from Newlife funds or they can provide information of grants available nationally from other sources.

Newlife Equipment Grants
Newlife provides grants for essential equipment such as: pain relieving beds, wheelchairs, communication aids, and much more. Newlife has funded over £6 million pounds worth of equipment grants helping children across the UK, making a real difference to the lives of children and their families.
Equipment Loans
Offers the free loan of essential equipment. Normally delivered within 72 hours, this suite of relevant equipment such as beds, wheelchairs, hoists etc are made available, specifically to help terminally ill children who 'Just Can't Wait', hence the name of the service.
Normally a professional will contact the Newlife Nurse Service to enquire about availability, specification and eligibility. While on loan the equipment is fully maintained and when no longer needed the items are quickly collected. Is it then tested by the supplier and clinically cleaned, before being made ready for re-release.
Sensory Box Loans
These free loan boxes contain specialist hardy equipment, which is both stimulating and enjoyable to use with a wide variety of children's needs. Play is important to all children but for many disabled children the opportunity to have access to interesting and therapeutic items is difficult for families to achieve. The boxes are self contained and are delivered direct to the family's door. They are relevant to the age and need of the child and can be used to fill the needs of children short term or fill the need while application is being made for grant provision from Newlife or elsewhere.
Newlife Condition Information Service
Newlife Foundation's free condition information service is dedicated to inborn conditions (birth defects). The service has been created by UK professionals to give families, patients and health professionals understandable, regularly updated key information. The service holds information or references to over 3,000 conditions.
