We have several different Volunteer roles available as part of our fundraising team, including:

  • Event Support Volunteer
  • Community Ambassador
  • Fundraising Administrator

Work as an Event Support Volunteer

Event Support Volunteers play an active role supporting our fundraising and community engagement activity. You’ll become the face of Newlife, promoting what we do and the impact of our work at a broad range of events.

If you enjoy connecting with people, organising events and getting stuck in, this is the perfect opportunity for you. 

  • Where? Various locations
  • How often? Flexible- can be a regular support or for a one-off event
  • Age Limit: This role is for volunteers aged 18 and above
  • DBS requirement: A DBS check may be required for this role
  • References: Referee details will be requested for this role

What you’ll be doing:

  • Representing Newlife at corporate events, including company presentations, parties, and bake off judging
  • Supporting corporate participants at Newlife and third party events
  • Supporting and/ or creating supporter-led events
  • Connecting with local community event providers
  • Marshalling, stewarding, cheering and manning stalls
  • Identifying opportunities for events locally and nationally 

This role might be right for you:

  • If you are confident in communicating/ want to develop communication skills
  • If you want to develop organisation and event management skills
  • If you want to gain confidence in public speaking and networking
  • Have good attention to detail and can problem-solve
  • Enjoy connecting with people

Become a Community Ambassador

Community Ambassadors champion the life-changing work we do. They engage new and existing supporters, help us to reach new people and raise funds. 

This is an exciting and varied role, and is particularly well suited to you if you have strong connections to local businesses, community groups or clubs.

  • Where? Various
  • How often? Flexible
  • Age Limit: This role is for volunteers aged 18 and above
  • DBS requirement: A DBS check may be required for this role
  • References: Referee details will be requested for this role

What you’ll be doing:

  • Representing Newlife at networking events and cheque presentations 
  • Delivering talks and presentations to engage new supporters 
  • Networking on behalf of Newlife, spreading awareness and support stewardship
  • Promoting Newlife’s mission and goals across communication channels 
  • Participating in fundraising events; engaging event attendees and donors, conveying the importance of their contributions and the impact they will make
  • Generating enthusiasm and excitement around fundraising initiatives, encouraging active involvement and long-term support

Become a Fundraising Administrator

Support our fundraising team and either put to practice your administrative skills or learn new ones.

This is an office, desk based role, and is particularly well suited to you if you enjoying administration, computer work are well organised and have good attention to detail.

  • Where? Cannock, Head Office
  • How often? Flexible
  • Age Limit: This role is for volunteers aged 18 and above
  • References: Referee details will be requested for this role

What you’ll be doing:

  • Administration tasks including inputting data onto spreadsheets
  • Using different software packages to help keep our admin up to date
  • Compiling research information to assist the Newlife fundraisers
