The UK government offers several schemes to boost the value of your gift at no extra cost to you. Most tax paying adults can benefit from these incentives and help generate more income to support our work with disabled children.
Here are some of the ways you can make your donation to Newlife go further.
Gift Aid
By agreeing to Gift Aid, for every £1 you donate, we can claim an extra 25p of tax from the government.
If you’re a UK taxpayer all you have to do is complete our Gift Aid declaration form when you make an online donation. We can provide you with a form if you’re donating on the phone or by post, simply email [email protected]
If you are a Higher rate taxpayer, we can claim the basic rate of tax on your donation, you can then reclaim the difference or you could choose to donate the difference to Newlife. You’ll need to include details of your charity gifts in your next tax form.
You can find information on the GOV.UK website.
