The vital, life-changing work we do with disabled children wouldn’t be possible without the kind support we receive from trusts and foundations.
Support from trusts and foundations is key to changing the future for disabled children in the UK.
Whether your charitable trust or foundation can offer a one-off donation or a multi-year grant to Newlife, your support will help us to empower disabled children and their families to live life to the fullest.
Partnering for greater impact
In addition to offering funding, trusts and foundations also provide reputational and strategic support, helping us to make an even bigger difference to the lives of disabled children.
Trust and foundations support us by:
- Offering long-term or repeat funding, giving Newlife stability which helps us take action to achieve our mission.
- Providing grants for specific projects and the general costs of running our services.
- Supporting innovation and campaigns to help improve the lives of disabled children.
Looking at the bigger picture, this support enables us to:
- Get children the equipment they need, equipment that has often been refused by the statutory services or delays in provision mean that the child is at risk
- Support parents via our nurse-led service and information hub. We provide answers to help them feel informed, supported, and reassured
- Work with health professionals and strive for a future where all disabled children get the equipment they need and deserve
- Provide opportunities for play, allowing children to experience the joy of childhood
- Advocate for children as we work to influence government policy and drive national change, giving disabled children and families a voice
How we can work with you
We build long-term strategic partnerships with our funders. Our approach is rooted in mutual respect, and we will work with you to ensure your funding delivers meaningful impact.
We commit to:
- Aligning with your goals by taking time to understand your priorities and the outcomes you want to achieve, and by working closely with you to deliver the change you want to see
- Providing a local focus where needed, with the option to direct funds to support disabled children and families within your area of benefit
- Reporting clearly and regularly so you can see the difference your grant is making and fulfil any of your own reporting requirements
- Recognising your support appropriately, respecting your preferences and acknowledging your contribution in a way that suits your Trust or foundation

What our partner trusts and foundations say
We’re excited about the difference our grant can make to the lives of families with disabled children thanks to the specialist buggies and wheelchairs that Newlife provide. This is exactly the kind of work we wanted to support when we launched our new grant portfolio last year.
Lisa Jones, Director of Motability
I’m very pleased we’ve been able to help Newlife with their hugely important work. Without Newlife, thousands of disabled children would be living in pain, unable to do the things that we all take for granted and denied the opportunity to reach their potential.
Selwyn Burton on behalf of The Masonic Charitable Foundation
We’d also like to say a huge thanks to the following trusts and foundations for their generous support and commitment to children’s wellbeing. Their contributions help us continue our vital work every day:
